Second Phased Launched
The nomination process for the selection of members to represent on the Second Phase of the Constituency Councils was completed. As a result the Department of Constituency Empowerment launched the Second Phase of the Constituency Councils in April 2010 with the following persons been members of the twelve constituency councils selected in the Second Phase:
Preparations For The Final Phase Of Implementation Of Constituency Councils In Barbados
Preparations for the final phase of the implementation of the Constituency Councils are in progress. In accordance with the First Schedule of the Constituency Councils Act 2009, the Constituency Councils will be established in zones.
The Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment, Urban and Rural Development invites organisations and individuals to nominate representatives to be considered to serve on the Constituency Councils indicated below, which are in the Northern, Western and Central Zones:
